I’m proud to be the franchise owner of the Greater Richmond and Tappahanock offices of Home Instead Senior Care and know exactly what you are facing if you are taking care of a loved one. Many of my own family members and friends struggled with how to care for their parents which is when my husband Torsten and I recognized a need that had to be addressed. Through extensive research and exploring all options we discovered Home Instead Senior Care. We were extremely impressed with the professionalism and sincerity exhibited by the Home Instead Senior Care corporate staff in Omaha, Nebraska. When my husband and I opened Home Instead Senior Care locally on September 1, 1997 we were it’s only employees. We began as one of the original franchises and have developed an organization that truly cares about people and provides the utmost customer satisfaction.

When my husband passed away on Christmas Eve in 2010 his long and hard battle with cancer came to an end. My determination to help others that had gone through what I had been through, though, had just really begun. I now had an even deeper understanding of what our clients and their family members and friends were going through.

Home Instead Senior Care is the world's largest provider of non-medical home care services to seniors and I’m proud to bring that experience to the Greater Richmond area. Today, the business employs more than 350 full and part-time employees, and is among the largest of the more than 900 franchise groups for Home Instead Senior Care world wide.

It’s a good thing I had an extensive background in business as well as the healthcare industry specifically, because I call on every skill and resource I have to be sure that we deliver the highest level of care possible to clients that are dear to us.
